Sent off an email to White's today and "Todd" gave a quick reply:

Are there plans to bring out a V-Rated 1400DD ?
If so, has such production already begun?

Thank you for e-mailing us at Whites Electronics

Since the 10" D2 gets about the same depth and is alittle lighter. There are no plans at this time to make them V-rated.

Sincerely

Todd

Disappointing to me as I was one of it's more vocal proponents here. But
that's they way the cookie crumbles. Now I am more determined than ever to get the 6x10.

Frankly, I'm no expert but I completely disagree with the comparison of
the D2 and the 1400. I just don't like the D2 mostly - subjective I know.
But also, "Digging Deeper" *proves* the 1400 to be the deepest White's
coil you can put on a DFX. I think it is most regrettable we may never have
such performance with the V3 as well. I guess time will tell,...

Maybe Jimmy will bring something out,...,
