That's a nice looking coin. It's tough getting many of those old pre-1800's Coppers to look as good as that one. The ground was very generous to it. I hit the little double arrows on your page thinking it would show the flip side but I saw some of your other Coppers you found. I didn't notice your location. Eastern Seaboard? The pic with the Merc and Indian looks like they may have come out of salty mineralized water. Or maybe the shoreline?

| TR - yes, both came from the ocean in Southern RI. They were a nice surprise while I was beach hunting. I live in MA, but also hunt RI and CT (sometimes). |

hey Steve , great looking lady ya got there you've been doing well this year. seems like the 98's hold up pretty well because out of all my draped bust coppers the two 98's are in the best shape , strange huh.when are we gonna get together again and hit a few sites .

My Own Wings - PA is a GREAT state to find big old coppers, here are two of mine that predate the coin in this post:
If you want to get into the older stuff, use the 1867 atlas. It is a wealth of info!
